Connecting Community and Culture: Identity, Legacy, and Food

This workshop focuses on an excerpt from Padma Lakshmi in our Buffs One Read book, American Like Me: Reflections on Life Between Cultures by America Ferrera.  Our memories of meals shared with family and friends are one avenue to explore both who we are and to learn more about the world around us.  Join us as we reflect on favorite recipes and dishes, and how we connect with our greater communities through food.  This workshop is for anyone interested in reflecting on and sharing some of our most vivid and fond food memories. You are invited to attend whether or not you’ve read American Like Me

This workshop is part of a four part series, Connecting Community and Culture, which invites community engagement with the 2021 Buffs One Read. Members of the CU Boulder community are invited to attend any or all of the sessions. You are invited to attend whether or not you’ve read American Like Me. All materials, readings, and supplies will be provided during the workshop.

Join us in the exploration of the narratives and themes collected in America Ferrera's American Like Me: Reflections on Life Between Cultures.
