Getting Started with Editing Wikipedia through Current Events

Wikipedia is one of the largest and most active examples of online peer production, but it can be intimidating for anyone trying to figure out where to start. In this workshop, we will learn about the rules and practices for contributing to Wikipedia through the lens of articles related to current events. We will explore how to add content and references, participate in deliberations, and explore the rich and openly-accessible revision history and pageview data associated with Wikipedia articles.
