Using Regular Expressions in Digital Research
This workshop explores the use of regular expressions to find different variations on the same terms in digital corpora. The value of using regular expressions will be covered. Learners will also work through the rules of writing regular expressions through a hands-on exercise. Finally, learners will practice locating terms in a digital corpus using the text mining software Antconc, which will be covered in a prior workshop on January 23rd.
