Social Media for Scientists
Professional online networking tools can help scientists find collaborators, publicize research, and distinguish their outputs from those of other scholars. Whether you’re just beginning your career as a scientist or have a track-record of publications, you can benefit from learning to use these tools effectively. Led by science and scholarly communications librarians along with strategic insight from campus communications, the workshop will explore the features of ORCID, ResearchGate, and Academia.edu, as well as mainstream social media platforms such as Twitter. Laptops are encouraged, but not required. Please contact Abbey Lewis with any questions.
