Intro to NVivo

In this interactive, introductory workshop, Dr. Kristi Jackson (Queri, Inc.), will provide an overview of the capabilities of NVivo and engage participants in a discussion about the various data types that can be imported into the software and how NVivo facilitates an ongoing review of these materials (interview and focus group transcripts, field notes, audio, video, images, web pages, social media, reference managers, survey data with open-ended fields, demographic characteristics, etc.) Participants will discuss the role and capabilities of various of database searches (queries) and any other topics that are of interest to the participants (e.g., teamwork, debates about the use of such software, mixed methods research, and trends for the future).

 

Dr. Jackson focuses on the use of NVivo in a diverse array of health, education, public policy and commercial research projects through her role as consultant, coach, analyst, and principal investigator. She is also co-author of Sage Publication’s best-selling Qualitative Data Analysis with NVivo.
