R in 90 Minutes

R in 90 Minutes

Wednesday, January 22, 3-4:30 pm

From your first line of code through manipulating and visualizing data. This spiffy intro is designed to jump start your work with the R programming language. The topics covered are appropriate for applications in wide range of programming tasks including numerical data analysis, machine learning, advanced statistics, and more. Participants are expected to bring a laptop and engage with programming challenges during the session. You can expect to leave with a conceptual understanding of introductory-level methods in R programming.

After the workshop, a worksheet with practice problems will be provided; completing the worksheet after the session will facilitate the transfer of conceptual knowledge into skills. Participants can bring questions about the worksheet to Open Coding Hours, every Tuesday throughout the semester.

Prior to attending the workshop, participants should install R and R Studio at Posit .
