GIS and Python: Working with Raster Data Using Rasterio

GIS and Python: Working with Raster Data Using Rasterio

Tuesday, March 18, 2-4 pm

Rasterio is a popular Python library for working with raster GIS data (geotiffs, arrays, etc.). Phil White, the Earth, Environment, and Geospatial Librarian, will walk participants through standard raster manipulations using Rasterio and Python. We will cover reading/writing files, coordinate systems, clipping, and basic analysis approaches using NumPy and SciPy. Some Python experience is useful, but not required. No software installation will be necessary, but bring your own laptop.
