Introduction to QGIS

QGIS is a free, open-source, and fully featured desktop GIS application, and it should be your go-to GIS app. Join Phil White, the Earth, Environment & Geospatial Librarian, for an introduction to QGIS. In this workshop, you will be oriented to the QGIS interface, learn some basic analysis tools, and create color-shaded maps. Throughout, you will also become more familiar with spatial data types and structures. No prior experience necessary. Please install QGIS on your personal laptop prior to the workshop.
