Publish, not Perish: De-mystifying the Submission and Peer Review Process
Why is the scholarly publishing and peer review process the way it is, and what exactly happens between submission and acceptance of a publication? This workshop will deconstruct submission and peer review by outlining disciplinary practices, discussing what to expect from different kinds of review, and interrogating the closed door approach to peer review by proposing ways that the process can be more open and equitable. After this workshop you’ll have the knowledge you need to start hacking submission and peer review.
