AWS Machine Learning Immersion Day (RC Workshop with AWS)

In this RC Workshop*, Amazon AWS Solutions Architect Sudheer Manubolu will host a Machine Learning Immersion Day. Hands-on labs will guide participants through AWS AI/ML services, including SageMaker, building and training models using PyTorch and SageMaker’s version of XGBoost, building a custom XGBoost container, and setting up Model Monitoring on the deployed endpoint.

Participants will receive an AWS account to use for the workshop. Users without programming or prior Machine Learning knowledge are welcome to join.

  • 9-9:15 Welcome & Introductions

  • 9:15-10:15 Introduction to Amazon SageMaker

  • 10:15-10:30 Break

  • 10:30-11:15 SageMaker: Host a model with built-in algorithm

  • 11:15-12:15 SageMaker: Train and Tune Using PyTorch

  • 12:15-1:15 Lunch

  • 1:15-2:45 SageMaker: Process, Train, Explain, and Monitor with BYOC

  • 2:45-3:00 Conclusions & Next Steps

*What is an RC Workshop? RC Workshops are half to multi-day training sessions that provide a thorough understanding of a subject matter using a mix of lectures and hands-on materials. You can expect to leave a workshop with the ability to utilize a service, system, or tool.
