Machine Learning in R Using caret

Machine Learning in R Using caret

In the rapidly evolving field of data science, machine learning has become an essential tool for extracting insights from data, building predictive models, and solving complex problems. This hands-on workshop is designed to introduce participants to machine learning in R using the powerful `caret` package, with a focus on practical application. We will illustrate key concepts using real-world data from the South African National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (SANHANES), specifically focusing on the Overweight and Obesity dataset.

This workshop is ideal for data scientists, statisticians, researchers, and students who have a basic understanding of R and are interested in applying machine-learning techniques to health data. Participants should have some familiarity with R programming, though prior experience with machine learning or `caret` is not required.
