Alpine New Users Seminar (An RC Primer)

Alpine New Users Seminar (An RC Primer)

Wednesday, January 22 from 11 am-12 pm

New to CU Research Computing, but don't know where to start? This RC Primer** training is designed to give you an overview of Research Computing resources, procedures and best practices. You will learn how to log in, request allocations, store and transfer data, load software, run a job, and ask for help.

In order to follow along with the hands-on component of this session, you’ll want to have a Research Computing account and a laptop. If you need assistance with creating an account, please email rc-help@colorado.edu, attend CRDDS Consult Hours, or review our video on this topic. Please note that the steps for RMACC institutions are somewhat different; please email rc-help@colorado.edu to create your account.

** What is an RC Primer?: An RC Primer is a session that provides an introduction to concepts, systems, and tools. You can expect to leave a Primer with an introductory-level understanding of the topic.
