Introduction to Design Principles for Data Visualization

The use of visualizations has risen exponentially, fueled in part by the need to extract meaning from huge amounts of data and to make sense of them without the aid of external cognitive devices. Through a series of short lectures paired with hands-on exercises, the workshop will introduce the design principles behind effectively communicating information through visualizations. No prior knowledge is necessary.
