Text analysis is the most common form of Digital Humanities (DH) research, and it involves a variety of methods and tools depending on the scope and scale of your research. This workshop will serve as a “crash course,” an introduction to working with textual data in humanities research. During the first part of the workshop, we’ll explore some of the most commonly used text analysis tools and methods in DH. In the second part of the workshop, we’ll analyze texts using introductory text analysis tools. (please bring a laptop). Although the content will primarily benefit humanists and those new to DH, researchers from all fields are welcome.
