Data Visualization Crash Course

This workshop will focus on the fundamentals of data visualization---purpose, visualization types, and best practices---followed by a hands-on session of creating visualizations in Microsoft Excel. Participants will leave the workshop with a better sense of when to deploy certain types of visualizations and how to create them. This session is for beginners, and no prior experience creating such visualizations is necessary. Please bring a laptop with Microsoft Excel installed (Microsoft Office is freely available through OIT).
