This workshop introduces basic concepts of working with texts-as-data through a suite of data tools aimed at beginners.

The goal of the workshop is to help you get started on learning to work with data and to increase your ability to analyze texts with quantitative tools, such as word counters, algorithms, and network diagrams, which can reveal interesting information about your data. We will be working with DataBasic, a web-based application, and so no software installation is required (don’t forget your laptop!).
